This Great Humanity Said: Enough, 1968, Wofford College, Lindsay Webster Collection of Cuban Posters

Below are several examples of anti-imperialist propaganda posters created by OSPAAAL. The majority of the posters were designed and printed in Cuba and distributed internationally. To deliver their message to a wide, global audience, the artists relied heavily on bold, graphic imagery. The minimal text on these posters is typically presented in multiple languages – Spanish, French, Arabic, and English.

The motto of OSPAAAL was “This great humanity said: enough.” However, paired with their logo featuring a gun and globe and the reoccurring imagery of high-powered assault weapons, the posters presented a clear message– that violence was necessary to overthrow imperialism.
